In order to cover the transportation needs of Ithaca island, the ferry company Kefalonian Lines has started ferry routes from Sami port in Kefalonia to Ithaca and Killini port in Peloponnese, mainland Greece. The ferry trip from Ithaca to Killini will be 2 hours and 30 min, and it will take place three times per week.
The ferry will depart at 7:00 am from Pisaetos port in Ithaca and will return at 21:30 from Killini, passing through Sami Kefalonia. This way, the problem of the locals for day transport to mainland Greece and the neighboring island of Kefalonia is solved.
