Types of ferries
Both conventional and high-speed ferries operate the Paros - Naxos route.
Due to the fact that the distance between the islands is small, we recommend you take a conventional ferry, sit on the deck and enjoy the beautiful views of the Aegean Sea.
The distance between the two ports is 17 nautical miles (20 miles or 27 kilometers).
The duration of the trip from Paros to Naxos is 25-50 minutes.
Some routes, however, do not head directly to Naxos but first approach other islands. In such cases, the duration of the trip is extended.

How to find your ferry in the port of Paros (Parikia)
Ferries to Naxos depart from Parikia Port in Paros. It is relatively small, so it will be easy to spot your ferry.
The main ferry port of Naxos is located in Naxos Town.
In any case, make sure to arrive at the port at least 60 minutes in advance since there is a lot of congestion around the port, especially during the high season.
Luggage
Most ferry companies do not have a strict policy regarding luggage. You can carry as much as 40 kg or 0.5 cubic meters of luggage, with no restrictions in terms of the number of bags per person.
A designated area is available for luggage storage on every vessel. Alternatively, you will be allowed to keep your luggage in the seating area or lounge.
Taking your valuable items (wallet, mobile phone, etc.) with you and having them on deck is recommended.
Traveling with a car
To bring your car or motorbike from Paros to Naxos, you will need to book a vehicle ticket.
As a driver, you have to get to the port at least one hour before the ship's departure to park your car.
You will not be allowed to enter the garage throughout the trip. Note: Many car rental companies do not allow customers to ferry their vehicles. We recommend avoiding purchasing a vehicle ticket before contacting your car rental company.
