About Chalki

Chalki, one of the most secluded islands of Dodecanese, is located between Rhodes and Tilos. It has few permanent inhabitants and it is not much tourist developed. Nimporio, the capital and main port of the island, is amphitheatrically spread around a lovely bay and has traditional architecture. The clock tower and the church of Agios Nikolaos are the symbols of the island.

Chalki is an ideal destination for alternative holidays. There are wonderful paths to trek around the island, particularly paths leading to secluded beaches and the Medieval Castle, built on the top of an abandoned village. A small bus runs the route from Nimporio to Potamos, the most organized beach of Chalki.
